Mediagistics is seeking a talented Ruby on Rails Developer. We're seeking a motivated, energetic, creative professional to join our team.

In this position, you will implement our new, highly innovative social applications using our proprietary framework built on Ruby on Rails. You will be responsible for all aspects of software development, including architecture, design, coding, documentation, qa, deployment and management. Additionally, since you will be working on key components of our core technology platform, you will have the unique opportunity to significantly impact the success of our product and company.

Responsibilities:
- Develop Ruby on Rails based web applications
- Develop AJAX based web interfaces
- Integrate applications with standards compliant HTML and CSS
- Create modular code for a database driven websites

We are looking to establish a long-term relationship with a talented developer that includes competitive salary and benefits. This is a full-time position either in San Francisco or at our Fort Washington, PA offices. Telecommuting may be an option depending on your skill set.

Successful candidate must have:
- 3+ years work experience developing in an object oriented language, Java experience considered favorably
- 4+ years work experience with web development in-depth understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, Unix
- Comfortable with formal software specifications and version control
- Strong analytical problem solving skills.

Candidates that will get special consideration will have:
- Previous Ruby on Rails experience
- Previous PHP or PERL experience
- Previous experience with XML web services
- Previous experience building web apps in facebook, myspace, bebo, hi5.
- A strong online resume of proven work
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Prior experience programming in a team environment
